Benson qualifies for State FFA
Wadena-Deer Creek FFA member, Ethan Benson, qualified for state in Agricultural Mechanics by placing sixth high-individual at the Minnesota Region II Ag Mechanics Career Development Event on March 18 at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
FFA members from Region II competed taking written tests in general mechanics, plumbing, sprayer calibration, electric motors, engines and land management. Practicums were conducted in land surveying, wiring, plumbing, large engine displacement and in small gas engines.
Benson, a WDC junior, will be competing in the State FFA Agricultural Mechanics Career Development Event at the State FFA Convention, April 26-28, at the University of Minnesota campus. Richard Muckala serves as FFA advisor.
Ethan is the son of Roger and Deanna Benson of Bluffton.
