Second-graders build erupting volcanoes in science
Wadena-Deer Creek students in Carol Tornquist's second-grade class recently made models of erupting volcanoes in science. First, they shaped clay around a cup and then placed their volcano in an aluminum pan. Next, they put together a combination of baking soda, dish soap, red food coloring and vinegar to create the eruption of a volcano.
The young scientists learned that volcanoes can change the earth!
