Central Minnesota Boys Choir performs at WDC
Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary students and staff were treated to a wonderful concert from the Central Minnesota Boys Choir on Monday, April 14 in Wadena Memorial Auditorium.
The choir, which is completing its 13th season, is open to boys who love to sing. There are two choirs: the Explorer Choir for beginners and the Voyageur choir for more experienced choir members.
The Central Minnesota Boys Choir is directed by Mary Moen, who is an elementary music specialist at Staples Elementary School and is the director of the Staples-Motley Elementary choir. She will be directing both the Explorer Choir and the Voyageur Choir the fall 2014.
"The Central Minnesota Boys Choir has affected many boys and young men over the 11 years that we have been a choir. Many of the boys continue to sing in high school and college. Singing is something that people can enjoy for their whole lives," Moen said.
There is an audition process to be considered for the choir. If you are interested in auditioning, please contact Mrs. Moen at (218) 894-2433, ext. 3306.
