Wadena native/author Monica Wallgren Lee to offer writing class, April 7
Wadena native and published author, Monica Wallgren Lee, will present “How to Write about a Challenging Life Event,” Monday, April 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Robertson Theatre at Wadena-Deer Creek Middle/High School.
How many of you consider yourself a writer? Whether the answer is yes, or no, this may be the inspiration you need to help you begin! This class will guide you through the process of writing your “story.”
Monica Lee is a published author of her memoir, The Percussionist’s Wife. She will discuss how to begin by teaching you to write about challenges, how to go deep, along with writing exercises. She will explain how to decide to publish and the advantages of self-publishing. She will discuss how to start writing and re-writing.
This class has been offered in many states. We are fortunate to have her come to Wadena through Wadena-Deer Creek Community Education. To pre-register or for more information, contact Sandie at (218) 632-2396 by March 31. Cost is $10 per person.
