TCHC Foundation grant allows WDC to purchase another portable AED
A Tri-County Health Care Foundation grant helped Wadena-Deer Creek Middle/High School purchase a second portable Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for athletic activities.
“Having AEDs available our school and during athletic events is vital as sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in young athletes,” said Ashley Mumm, school nurse at WDC Middle/High School. “We are so grateful to have these AEDs available in case an emergency should arise.”
This is the second grant WDC Middle/High School has received from Tri-County Health Care Foundation. WDC was awarded a grant the fall 2012 for a wall-mounted AED.
