GYM GAMES

Besides exercise, this activity will help children learn skills such as problem solving following directions and rules. Games will range from freeze tag to four corners and more. WDC Elementary Gym

CRAFTS & MORE!

Create a different craft project each week and explore your creativity in a variety of ways! Elementary art room #46. Instructor: Elsie Schmidt.

AWESOME ART!

This class will dabble in drawing, painting and lots of other artsy, fun activities! Elementary art room #46. Instructor: Elsie Schmidt.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Hit the biking trails at Black’s Grove with cycling enthusiast Todd Hale. Learn how to ride trails, be safe and get some exercise! You must have a mountain bike to participate, as the trails. Helmet, water bottle and bug spray also required. Bike inspection on June 7 at the WDC High School parking lot.

BACKYARD GAMES

Learn how to play croquet, bean bag toss, and other old-fashioned backyard games. Learn etiquette, rules of the game, taking turns and sportsmanship are all part of this activity! WDC Elementary outdoor phy ed field (block south of school).

TENNIS

Learn the fundamentals of tennis, a game you can play all your life. Racquets are provided. WDC HS Tennis Courts.

SCHOOL GARDENING

WDC Greenhouse caretaker Kathy Connell will teach youth to plan, plant and harvest produce in raised beds. Great hands-on learning. Parents invited to attend classes. Bring your gardening gloves and a hat. Class size limited.

TRACK & FIELD

Want to learn about track & field events? WDC HS Track Assistant Coach Terry Olson and high school track athletes will set up different for running, jumping and throwing events. Learn proper techniques and rules.  In case of inclement weather, class will be held at high school indoor track.

Date: Tues/Thurs, June 6 to 29 (No class June 8 due to state track)

BEGINNING GYMNASTICS

This class will provide boys and girls with a strong foundation in developing coordination, balance, flexibility, strength and self-confidence. Instructor: Instructor: Monica Stearns Browne. HS Wrestling Room.

stretching stories

For parents and pre-K kids (siblings welcome)

NEW! Who said that stories must be read while sitting? “Stretching with Stories” will move our bodies, hearts, and minds on fun (yet meaningful) themes for both parents and kids.

ART IN THE PARK

Art in Your Park is open to all youth, aged toddler through entering 7th grade. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult or high school-aged sibling. All materials are provided and Art in Your Park is completely free. CYBER CAFE
