This year’s Summer Reading Program theme is “Reading By Design” – celebrating inspiration, innovation and construction.
Every Wednesday at 10am throughout the year, except holidays: “Story Time” at the Wadena City Library. Open to all ages.
May 1-5: National Children’s Book Week. Special 2nd Grade Story Times and Bookmark Contest, Wadena City Library.
May 9: Free Legacy Program: Arn Kind, Minnesota in the Great War (World War I), 1pm, Robertson Theatre, WDC Midd/High School.
May 16-18: Friends of the Wadena City Library Book Sale, Wadena Depot.
May 20: Computer 1, Beginning Computer Workshop, 11am, Wadena City Library.
May 25: Free Legacy Program:Lyz Jaakola, History, Culture and Music of Native Americans, 6pm, Wadena City Library.
June 5-July 29: Summer Reading Program, ages 0 to 17.
June 5: Summer Reading Program Kickoff, Raptors of Minnesota Live Bird Show, 2pm, WDC Elementary Gym.
Week of June 12: Z Mistry Storyteller, Music and Folk Tales from India, Wadena City Library.
June 15: Friends of the Wadena City Library Ice Cream Cart, just before the June Jubilee Parade on the parade route.
Aug. 1: Summer Reading Program Grand Prize Drawing, 2pm, Wadena City Library.
