Would you like to hear the legend of Robin Hood? If your answer is “I Sherwood!” then hitch up your gauntlets and get ready to laugh. The WDC Drama Department is proud to present, “The Legend of Robin Hood... Sort Of” on the historic stage of the Wadena Memorial Auditorium on Nov. 16, 17 and 18 at 7 p.m.

The cast shows the diversity of talent at WDC. "Robin Hood" is played by sophomore Michael Schmidt and "Maid Marian" is freshman Sara Goetze. King John and his rotten Sheriff of Nottingham are Gabe Berger and Elliot Doyle, both freshmen. Senior newcomer Kelsea Evans plays the rhyming, conviving "Witch Waye." Junior Devyn Norenberg takes on the role of "Friar Tuck."

Other notable cast members are Raine Curtis (senior); Jeff Umland and Jasmyn Wood (sophomores); Emma Mehl, Ben Keppers, Tianna Saltzmann, Siobhane Touchette (freshmen); and Grace Gallant (8th grade).

The cast is rounded out by some exciting and excitable 7th and 8th grade Merry Women: Lily Adkins, Maggie Hegarty, Chloe Jones, and Kylie Muchow.

WDC English teacher Beth Hawkins took over the reins as Drama Director this school year after the retirement of longtime director Jay Patterson. She said she’s excited to take on the role as drama director and is already enjoying the opportunity to work with students in the theater program.

Performance dates are November 16, 17 and 18 at 7pm at the Memorial Auditorium.  Please note the time change for performances from 7:30 to 7 p.m.
