Facilities Use

Encompassing a wide range of buildings and facilities, District 2155 schools are some of the community’s greatest assets. Allowing groups/organizations and individuals to utilize the District’s buildings/facilities is an important part of using our community’s resources to the fullest extent. School facilities are available to community groups and organizations at times when regular K–12 and Community Education programs are not scheduled and when such activities will not conflict with these school programs or extracurricular activities. The Activities Director shall approve scheduling School District 2155 facilities.

Usage/Permit Procedure

Prior to using School District 2155 facilities, any organization or individual must complete a Facility Use Application Form. The completed application must be returned to the district office for approval by the Activities Director before facilities will be scheduled. The person signing the form is responsible for any fees. Facilities should be scheduled at least 10 days prior to the start of the activity, but not to exceed one calendar year.

Right of Refusal

District 2155 has the right to deny access and use of the facilities when it is not consistent with the mission, vision and strategies of the school district, and/or when the activity is in direct conflict with a current school program, activity or service.

Cancellations/Inclement Weather

The permit holder shall notify Dana Pavek in the District Office at 218-632-2155, ext. 102 of any cancellation, at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled use of facilities or renter will be liable for all rental fees.

When school is cancelled due to inclement weather or physical problems, all scheduled rentals and activities will also be cancelled.


The applicant agrees to protect, indemnify and hold harmless School District 2155 and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages of rights of action, directly or indirectly, growing out of the use of the premises covered by the permit.

In the event of damage to School District 2155 property, the applicant shall pay all appropriate repair costs as determined by School District 2155. Any loss, breakage or need of repair of facilities must be reported to the district office by the supervisor in charge of the scheduled activity. If damage is not reported, it could result in revocation of future facility usage.


The applicant/designee must be present throughout the time the facilities are being used.  The applicant/designee is responsible for the decisions of the group, including spectators.  When minors are using the facility, they are required to have adult supervision on a 1 to 15 ratio. Responsible adults must supervise for the entire duration of the activity and/or until all participants have vacated the premises.

School District 2155 Policies

The group/organization or individual using School District 2155 facilities agrees to abide by the Nondiscrimination and Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence policies of School District 2155.

Compliance with Title IX: It is the policy of School District 2155 not to discriminate on the basis of sex in its educational programs, activities required by Title IX of the 1972 Educational Amendment.

School District 2155 is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

The use or possession of alcoholic beverages, tobacco or illegal chemicals is prohibited on all School District 2155 property.

No firearms shall be brought onto School District 2155 property for any reason other than an authorized firearms safety program.

4. Nonprofit Groups (ie. Lions, Boy Scouts)
5. Youth-Related Nonprofit Organizations (ie. Backcourt, Wrestling Club, J.O. Volleyball, Youth Football).  Booster organizations organized for the express purpose of supporting authorized district programs. Majority of participants must be District 2155 residents.
